Hello year 2!

Dilara, Yusuf and Jessica would like to share their short stories with you. Enjoy!

Silly Yusuf

Yususf worried about doors and floors!

Yusuf told his mum. She said make a worry doll.

Yusuf went to his grandma’s house. In the night he got scared. He told his grandma his worries and asked if he could go home.

When he was at home his mum gave him a worry doll. She said tell your worries to these dolls and put them under your pillow.

That night he slept well.

Silly Dilara

Dilara is worried about poisonous snakes and big bugs and Miss Stephenson and Miss Kristine.

She told her mum and her mum said go and make a worry doll tomorrow.

Tell the worry doll all your worries.

She put the doll under her pillow and she slept peacefully.

Silly Jessica

Jessica worried about teachers

Jessica told her imaginary friend.

Her imaginary friend told her to make a worry doll and put it under your pillow and the worries will go away.

She put the worry doll under her pillow and that night she slept like a rock.

Its great to see Dilara's confidence growing and coping much better with tasks that in the past she might find challenging like maths and PE! Well done Dilara!

Hello year 1!  Hope you enjoyed writing poems last week. This is one that Ibby wrote.

Home learning at home only

Hello Year 1 Rainbow children at home.

If you are working at home you can still go on Purple Mash for work to do.

You can listen to the story

"Ahh!" said the stork

Think about the story.

Where did the story take place?

What were the animals trying to do?

What would you do to open the egg?

This is "WEEEEEEEE!" by Brettenham on Vimeo, the home for high quality videos and the people who love them.

Hello Rainbow Class!

Hello Rainbow Class,

I hope that you will have a wonderful half-term holiday with your families. I will not be setting any work on our website or PurpleMash. Rainbow Values

Our Class Charter! We believe there is a pot of gold at the end of rainbow!

We have been reading Shark in the Park by NIck Sharratt. Do you like our sharks?

To celebrate Harvest, we made gingerbread men.

We love to count!

We love reading and visiting Edmonton Green library. Family and friends drop into Rainbow Class every Friday at 3 O'Clock to 'Read Together' with us!

We went to Pymms Park to look for Autumn, we found yellow, brown and red leaves. After collecting leaves we went to the playground.

Alma Woodsy Thomas was born in America. She was a teacher and Artist. She loved to use coloured shapes to create pictures. We worked together using rectangles from magazines to make a rainbow.

On Friday 22nd November Lydia the librarian from Edmonton Green Library visited Rainbow. All our parents came and enjoyed reading together!

We explored weight. We sequenced the objects from heaviest to lightest.

We challenged ourselves to pick up pom poms in a minute! We counted how many we were able to pick up.

On 11th December Rainbow class went to Kiddzania, we enjoyed taking part in all the role play.

Family Kitchen 2020, is such fun it supports and inspires 'engagement'.

Trying something together, not givingup or thinking 'I can't', is less likely when cooking together.
