Physical Education

Welcome

At Brettenham Primary School we believe that physical education, experienced in a safe and supportive environment, is a unique and vital contributor to a pupil’s physical development and well-being. A broad and balanced physical education curriculum is intended to provide for pupils increasing self-confidence in their ability to manage themselves and their bodies within a variety of movement situations. Progressive learning objectives, combined with sympathetic and varied teaching approaches, provide stimulating, enjoyable, satisfying and appropriately challenging learning experiences for all pupils. The selection of suitably differentiated and logically developed tasks, will help pupils, irrespective of their innate ability, enjoy success and be motivated to further develop their individual potential and take part in lifelong physical activity.

Sports Days

It was that time of year again for our annual sports day's, for Foundation, Key stage 1 and Key stage 2. The children really enjoy taking part and celebrating everything they have learnt through out the school year. Our year 6 children done an excellent job as sports leaders helping the younger children around the course and recording scores. A big thank you to all those parents who supported their children and the school. Congratulations to the winning house team Topaz.

Boccia League vs Fleecefield

On Friday 15th February 2019 Brettenham played their first league match against Fleecefield. After three ends both teams were tied resulting in a tie break. Fleecefield won the advantage playing all of their balls with two fantastic shots. Brettenham had one last ball which they used to try to knock out all of Fleecefield's, but unfortunately could not. Well done Fleecefield for winning the match.
