Hello Orange Class,
Thank you parents and children for your hard work this half term! You have all made me very proud. It is Half Term this week so we will not be setting a new story. Your Half Term homework is to play, play, play!
If you would like to listen to new stories and songs on our Early Year's Stories and Songs page, then please do! We hope you enjoy spending this time together as a family.
Stay safe and take care,
Miss O'Doherty
Family Home Learning Ideas!
We are looking at having a different topic each week that families can work on together during the week. This week our topic will be:
UK GEOGRAPHY
Here are some ideas that you can do together. Please don’t feel like all of these have to be done, they are just ideas that can be worked on together
Please share any activities on Tapestry
Thank you,
Miss O'Doherty
Dear Mummies, Daddies and Children,
I just wanted to say thank you for all your hard work over the last few weeks helping your children with their home learning. It has not been an easy time for anyone and we understand there have been a lot of added pressures. It has been lovely to see different photos and videos of the children at home. If you still have observations from last week, take your time and add them over the next two weeks.
Our homework for the holidays (the next two weeks) is to play, play, play. The children and yourselves need a break and their well being is the most important thing to us. This may be playing with them, drawing pictures with them, reading books, playing with their toys, singing and dancing! It is all so important for their development.
I will still be checking Tapestry so please add anything you have been doing and I will always respond. I will also be adding some of our favourite story books over the holidays for the children to listen to.
Please do not hesitate to get in touch either through Tapestry or my email orangeclass@brettenham.enfield.sch.uk if you need anything.
Have a lovely two weeks break and we look forward to starting our next story on Monday 20th April.
I'm missing you all so much,
Stay Safe,
From Miss O'Doherty
Dear Parents/Carers,
We would like to thank you for your support over the last couple of weeks. It's been a difficult time for all of us and we appreciate how daunting this might feel for you and your children. We want to let you know that we are here for any support you might need.
We will be updating you regularly with a weekly Home Learning Plan. We will also be posting videos onto Tapestry of our new phonics sounds and our Story of the Week. We hope to see as many posts as possible on Tapestry of the Reading/Writing task and Number task weekly.
We understand that children may feel anxious during this period and we feel it is very important for the children to feel connected to school and their teachers. Please reassure them that they can contact us whenever you like and we will always respond to them.
You can contact me through Tapestry or my email orangeclass@brettenham.enfield.sch.uk. If you cannot get onto Tapestry please email me.
We will support you and your families through this,
Miss O'Doherty
