I hope you are all ok. I just wanted to let you know that a letter from Mr Humphreys has been added below to inform you that we will be unable to bring Nursery children back to school this term. I look forward to seeing those of you who are staying at Brettenham when you start in Reception. If you are moving on to a new school then we will miss you and we wish you all the best. If you need to collect any items from Nursery such as wellies, please come to Nursery gate and we will bring them out to you. We would also really appreciate it if you could bring back the book bags that we lent you and any books that you took home. You can still get in touch with me in the usual ways through Tapestry, email email@example.com or you could phone the school if you need to.
I hope you and your families are all safe and well. Please find below some ideas and resources for supporting your child at home. I will be updating these every week. If you are able to upload pictures or videos to Tapestry, then I would love to see how you have been spending your time. If you have not activated your Tapestry account, please check back through your junk mail as I have sent reactivation emails. You can follow the link to log in. If you are already active on Tapestry, please check it regularly for updates. If you have any questions, issues accessing Tapestry, would like to share what you have been doing at home and are unable to do so via Tapestry, or would like to talk to me about anything, please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org and I will get back to you as soon as possible. I will also be checking Tapestry and I will be able to communicate with you through the comments. It would be lovely to hear from you even if it's simply to let me know how you are getting on. Take care of yourselves.
Week Beginning 08.06.20
I just want to let you all know that I will be at school full time starting from this week to support Reception children as part of the wider reopening of the school. This means that I will not be able to respond to messages and Tapestry posts as quickly as usual, but please continue to upload whenever you can. It also means that I will not be able to put the timetable and resources on the website as I have been doing each week. Please continue to use activity ideas from the 'Home Learning' and 'Maths Activities and Games' documents and continue to work on phonics and share stories as you have been so far. The resources are all still available below on this page for you to continue to use. I will check Tapestry each day when I get home and there will be someone to pick up the phone at school if you can't access Tapestry and need to speak to someone for any reason. There are no definite plans to reopen Nursery at the moment, if this changes at any time, we will update the website and try to contact you so please keep checking for any new messages.
Half Term- Week Beginning 25.05.20
Please use this week to spend time together reading books, playing and doing whatever makes you feel happy. I will upload a new timetable and resources ready for the first week of the new half term. If you would like some activities to do, please use the 'Home Learning' documents from last week and choose some activities from there. I'll still be checking Tapestry so please continue to share anything you've been doing, even if it's not from my suggestions, and you can still talk to me through that or email email@example.com and I will get back to you as soon as possible.
You should already know whether your child has been offered a place at their chosen school for Reception 2020 ready to start in September. If you have not had an offer of a place or have forgotten to apply, you need to contact Enfield admissions as soon as possible. Also, if we have not been able to contact you by phone, please try to upload something to Tapestry this week or send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org to let us know that you are all safe and well.
It has been lovely speaking to lots of you on the phone. Please look out for calls from school or from a withheld number and try to pick them up. If you are logging onto Tapestry regularly and sharing pictures and videos on there, that really helps us to keep in touch. If you missed the call, you could always send an email to email@example.com or upload to Tapestry to let us know how you are doing and that you are safe and well.
Please log into Tapestry to see messages and communicate with me. Try to upload pictures and videos to Tapestry to share what you have been doing. Thank you for the ones you have shared so far. If you need help or want to talk to me, please email firstname.lastname@example.org
Message for week beginning 20.04.20
I hope you are all keeping well. I have a saved a story on the class page to support learning this week. There is a PowerPoint with audio clips of me reading it at the top of each page. Thank you to everyone who has uploaded to Tapestry. If you are struggling with Tapestry, have any questions or if you would like to talk to me about anything please email me- email@example.com You can also use this email address to share how you have been spending your time if you are unable to do so through Tapestry or to simply let me know how you are getting on at home. It would be lovely to hear from you.
During what would have been the Easter break from school, please take some time to play together at home. I have put together some suggestions of games and activities below for anyone who might find it useful to have some inspiration or structure, but I'm sure your children will have their own ideas. Playing is such a valuable learning experience for children and it is important for everyone to take some time to try to relax during such an intense time. I will next be updating this page in time for week beginning Monday 20th April but will continue to check Tapestry and emails. Stay safe and keep well!
Welcome to Nursery PM!
