Homework Expectations

Purple Mash - https://www.purplemash.com/sch/brettenham

2Dos will be set on Purple Mash to allow students to deepen their understanding of what is being taught at school. The aim of this homework is to review and revise areas of the curriculum using short activities that will engage students and extend their learning.

Reading - All KS1 students are expected to read for at least 10 minutes every night. Reading records should be monitored and signed at home regularly.

Hi Blue Class

I am looking forward to Friday 27th November when Blue Class can come back to school. I can't wait to see you all. Until then, here is the last home learning information I'm going to leave on here apart from weekend homework information. In addition to the maths game saved below, please write a recount of a journey you have been on. It could be from a while ago and you could use your imagination to make your writing more exciting. I have also saved a song about rights. Please think about your right to a good quality education (Article 28) and create a poster to show all of the things that need to happen for you to enjoy this right.

See you all on Friday!

Hi Blue Class,

I hope you're all well. The new home learning activities are saved below. If you are able to complete your 2dos on Purple Mash then you only need to look at the leaflet work. If you would like to play the games too then go ahead. You can also keep practising your spellings which are saved a little further below if you have spare time in your day. As always, keep up with a little bit of reading every day.

Hi Blue Class

I've saved some new activities below for you to be getting on with at home. Some are similar to your Purple Mash work but there are some extras too. I will save one set of homework on here and on Purple Mash for you to work on over the weekend before setting the work for Monday. Keep up with your reading at home. I miss you all.

Hi Blue Class,

I've added two new tasks below for anyone who cannot access their 2dos on Purple Mash. Please choose one graph to answer questions about and you can use the answer sheet at the end to check your work. As an additional task today, you can design and plan any special features that you want to include when we make our model cars when we get back to school. Think about any extra materials you might need and you can let me know if I need to find any special resources when we see each other again. If you have time for any extra work, please look at the Year 2 spelling list that I uploaded below yesterday and please continue to keep reading everyday too.

Hi Blue Class,

I've been enjoying looking at your completed 2dos on Purple Mash and have set two new ones. One piece of work on Purple Mash is on tally charts so I have saved a tally sheet below for anyone who cannot access it. Please remember that if you see four tally marks with a fifth diagonal mark across them, that is a block of 5. I have saved your Year 2 spelling list just underneath this message. You could practise spelling some of these words correctly and write sentences using those words. Remember to start each sentence with a capital letter and use correct punctuation. Please also try to do 10 minutes of reading each day at home.

Hi Blue Class,

I hope you are all well. You have two 2dos on Purple Mash today and there is some work on here for anyone who is struggling to access Purple Mash. Our topic this half term is Transport so in addition to your 2dos, please try to research what different types of transport looked like in the past. How are they different now? Take care and I'll get some new tasks ready for tomorrow. Keep checking Purple Mash for daily 2dos and check on here for additional work or if you cannot log on to Purple Mash.

Many Thanks

Miss Ahuja
