Curriculum

In maths we have been learning fractions, shape and measure. In science we have been finding out about mammals.

We put in order kings and queens on a timeline. We drew portarits of our favourite leaders.

Autumn 2

This half term, Rainbow Class have been learning lots of new and exciting things.

Our topic has been Kings and Queens

We have been learning what we mean by a monarchy and who is  in the royal family. We have also learnt about royal families from all over the world. We have created lovely portraits of past Kings and Queens and even made our own crowns.

Our focus books this half term have been 'Where the wild things are' and 'The king who banned the dark'. We wrote poems about what we would do if we were king/queen and explored the Wild things story through 'talk for writing'.

In science we have been looking all different types of animals (including us) and learning important facts about different animal groups!

Next half term our topic will be Around the world.

Next half term our topic will be Kings and Queens.

We read Beegu. I used playdough and made a model of Beegu. I am proud of my model.

Autumn 1

We started our new term with reading 'Here we are by' Oliver Jeffers and Beegu by Alxis Deacon.   We learnt lots of interesting facts about our planet and we made our solar system.
