Physical Education

Welcome

At Brettenham Primary School we believe that physical education, experienced in a safe and supportive environment, is a unique and vital contributor to a pupil’s physical development and well-being. A broad and balanced physical education curriculum is intended to provide for pupils increasing self-confidence in their ability to manage themselves and their bodies within a variety of movement situations. Progressive learning objectives, combined with sympathetic and varied teaching approaches, provide stimulating, enjoyable, satisfying and appropriately challenging learning experiences for all pupils. The selection of suitably differentiated and logically developed tasks, will help pupils, irrespective of their innate ability, enjoy success and be motivated to further develop their individual potential and take part in lifelong physical activity.

Boccia League vs Fleecefield

On Friday 15th February 2019 Brettenham played their first league match against Fleecefield. After three ends both teams were tied resulting in a tie break. Fleecefield won the advantage playing all of their balls with two fantastic shots. Brettenham had one last ball which they used to try to knock out all of Fleecefield's, but unfortunately could not. Well done Fleecefield for winning the match.

Year 6 traveled to North Yorkshire for a week of OAA, this included canoeing, tree climbing,zip-lining, abseiling, orienteering and bush craft. This was a fantastic experience for the children challenging them to come out of their comfort zone to problem solve, work as team and take on leadership roles.
