I am Cllr Toby Simon and I have been Chair of Governors since 2010. I am a member of Enfield Council, representing Enfield Highway Ward and I am Chair of its Overview and Scrutiny, Pension Investment, Remuneration and Members & Democratic Services Committees. I also am a Member of the Executive Committee of the Local Authority Pension Fund Forum and of the First-tier Tribunal Tax Chamber. I am a Magistrate on the North London bench, chairing both Criminal and Family Court
I became a governor at Brettenham in 2010 and have been Vice Chair of the governing
body for the last four years. Previous to this I was a governor at Nightingale School.
Having three daughters who have gone through the education system I am passionate about ensuring all children get the best possible education they can.I have worked in the governing body service at Islington for a number of years where I am now Head of service.
I work as a Registered Mental Health Nurse in London. I live in Edmonton with my son. I became a school governor to be an advocate for local parents to ensure our views are represented in the running of the school.
I am a Parent Governor and a Parent Representative for Brettenham School.
I am in my 6th year of both of these roles within the school.
I am married with 2 children,
1 of whom attends the school, and is in Year 3.
I am now a full time mum after a 20 year career in banking.
