We had some Parent/ Child homework over the half term holidays. Many children got creative and created some amazing Ancient Greek Art Work at home. Well Done!
We travelled to the Hindu Temple in Neasden as part of our SMSC topic. It was so beautiful and like nothing we have ever seen before!
Year 3 visited the London Buddhist Centre. We had a great day learning about the Story of Buddah and we got the opportunity to do some meditation.
The children and the parents created some amazing Rainforest shoe box creations as part of their parent/child half term
We are learning about The Rainforest this half term.
We had a class debate on whether Deforestation should be allowed. Both sides of the argument were extremely strong however the class felt that Deforestation should be banned!
We went to Pymmes Park to have a look around our local environment. We made comparisons with the Amazon Rainforest and used compass directions to get there
A beatboxer came into school for a workshop. We had so much fun!
3L's visit to The London Aquarium
Levi Roots from Dragon's Den visited us! We made some delicious biscuits! He enjoyed them so much we won the prize!!!
Business week - Making biscuits containing spices from Asia, America, Europe and The Caribbean
3L made a replica of our bicep and tricep muscles! We learnt that our muscles work in pairs. As one contracts, the other relaxes to enable us to move.
Spanish day at Brettenham! We had a special visitor who talked to us about Spanish traditions and we sang some Spanish songs.
Home learning projects, Stonehenge
In Year 3 we were lucky enough to visit All Saints church in Edmonton to learn about the Christmas Story. Father Stuart taught us so much and some of us even got the chance to ring the bell!
We have made Stone Age Jewellery! We used clay, painted it white then used twine to thread it through each piece! We had so much fun!
We made Woolly Mammoths using milk bottles!
We visited Bruce Castle Museum and got to look at many amazing artefacts from the Stone Age. We learnt about the Paleolithic, Mesolithic and Neolithic timeline! It was a great day!
We used oil pastels and chalk to make Cave Paintings!
We acted out the story of Rama and Sita for Diwali!
We made Stone Age Axes!
3L are studying the text 'Stig of the Dump'. In Science we investigated which rocks would make a suitable material for Stig's home. We looked at the durability and permeability of each rock. After testing, we think Granite and Marble would do the job!
We used oil pastels to create some amazing Stonehenge pictures! We used warm colours to represent the summer solstice and cool colours for the winter solstice!
We had an Archaeological Dig searching for Stone Age Items!
